FoodServiceEurope, HOTREC and FoodDrinkEurope have published a paper calling on the EU to introduce temporary reduced VAT rates in the hospitality sector in order to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 crisis. The position paper highlights the benefits of temporarily reduced VAT rates for the hospitality and contract catering sectors and outlines why this measures is necessary to support sector in these challenging times.
