FoodServiceEurope supports key recommendations for food waste prevention

The EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste adopted during its plenary meeting on 12 December key recommendations for food waste prevention at each stage of the food supply chain: primary production; processing and manufacturing; retail and other distribution of food; hospitality and other food services; and households.

As member of this Platform, FoodServiceEurope worked closely with the rapporteur for the hospitality and food services, HOTREC, and took part on the workshop and consultations. Working closely with our Food Waste Task Force, FoodServiceEurope endorsed the final version adopted at the plenary meeting and remains committed to support the fight against food waste going forward.
