FoodServiceEurope and EFFAT, EU social partners for the contract catering sector, launched our updated Best Value Guide. This is the outcome of an EU funded project. The guide is expected to support client organizations in the procurement of food services based on quality as much as price, thereby promoting the values enshrined in the EU public procurement strategy of prompting quality services that fully respect workers’ rights among other quality considerations.
The event was successful with fruitful discussions with representatives from the EU institutions and insights from workers and employers.
The Guide and related tool is available online via a dedicated Website. Nine different language versions will soon be available.
