The EBSA, of whom FoodServiceEurope is a member, published a statement on 14 March on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive proposal. The statement outlines the EBSA’s support of initiatives fostering sustainable development and recognises the advantages created by increasingly streamlined reporting obligations that replace dispersed reporting schemes. However, it stresses the need for the proposed directive to provide legal certainty and limit administrative and financial burdens for European businesses, so as to ensure that they are provided with adequate reporting tools to guarantee their full contribution to the objectives of the European Green Deal.
